David Lehman
David Lehman is a distinguished poet, author and editor. He has written six books of poetry, most recently, "When a Woman Loves a Man" (Scribner, 2005). His prose books include "The Last Avant-Garde," a study of the New York School of poets in the 1950s and 60s. He established "The Best American Poetry" in 1988 and has served ever since as the series editor of this acclaimed annual anthology. In April, Oxford University Press is publishing "The Oxford Book of American Poetry," edited by Lehman, which is one-volume comprehensive anthology of American poetry from its origins to the present.
