Marie Chewe-Elliott
Marie Chewe-Elliott, B.A., M.A., a former journalist, and currently works as media and outreach coordinator. An aspiring poet since childhood, she is currently working on her second collection of poetry, Woman's Work. She is the author of, Psalms of a Woman:Selected Poems and Reflections, and currently is featured in Poetic Bridges, an anthology by a diverse group of Missouri and Illinois poets who call themselves Riverbend Friends. She was among presenters at UM-St. Louis' Women in the Arts Conference in November 2005. Marie reads monthly at Gospel Lighthouse, in St. Louis and frequently at "Expressions in the Dark," a reading/spoken word series in Springfield, IL.
